Assurance of the elders of Volhynia for Fiszel Lewkowicz, the scribe of the Crown Jews and Volhynia Jews

The land elders of Volhynia state that Fiszel Lejbowicz has yet again been appointed to the position of the scribe of the Volhynia voivodeship, and they recognize that after he had first left the position, the district incurred many losses. At the same time, the elders put a deposit of 100 “red” zlotys on anyone who would oppose Fiszel as a scribe, and above all, on those, who bore false witness against him to the Treasurer, Hetman or any of the landlords, and ask the Treasurer and Hetman to accept Fiszel as the new scribe of Volhynia.
